Very large tablets
The tablets may be too large to swallow for some people. They do split into quarters but turn into a powder when cut a second time. Will purchase a smaller dose next time but for now, these appear to do the trick.

Calcium supplements are notorious for being huge, but these are smaller than expected. Still big, but not outrageous. Easy to swallow. Revised 12/28/18: Still loving these supplements. I am using them to prevent kidney stones, per a relative’s experience. I haven’t had one yet. Hopefully not ever again. I still love how easy they are to swallow. Revised 12/18/19: Still no kidney stones. (I’m genetically predisposed to them.) Still loving how easy these are to swallow.

Hard to find
I’m supposed to take a citrite, but also have too much vitamin D in another supplement I have to take. My D was way over the limit in my bloodwork. Just try to find a citrite without D! I understand it helps with absorption, but its also in everything else!!! Fortunately, I found these. Easy to take and only getting the actual calcium.

Getting pure calcium without added vitamins
My doctor has a specific amount of calcium and vitamin D3 he requires me to take daily. It is so difficult to find the exact dosage I’m supposed to take in the combined supplements available in the stores. So glad I can order JUST the calcium without worrying about what other vitamins or minerals are added.

It’s good but not great.
I just wish the macros were better. Maybe higher protein grams even at the expense of more calories. The greatest difference I’ve noticed between this protein powder and other brands (I have been a gym rat for 15 years) is that after taste (for cookies and cream) is soooo much more tolerable. The aftertaste is not nasty at all.

Liked this was just Calcium and I could regulate my Vitamin D separately. Nice to get my full RDA in 2 daily doses of 2 (smaller) pills.

This product has a misleading label as to the amount of calcium per tablet.
The 1000mg designation on the label is misleading. In fact each tablet is 250mg. Other similar products list the amount of the calcium per tablet and then on the back list how many pills make up say 400mg or 1000mg. I took these tablet for several months before I read the small print on the back of the bottle. I should have read the label more carefully, but…

Amazon product description clearly indicates only “Cellulose” as extra ingredient.The one which was delivered has “Microcrystalline Cellulose, Stearic Acid Vegetable Source, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Croscarmellose Sodium, Silicon Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate Vegetable Source, Vegetable Acetoglycerides, Polyethylene Glycol, Carnauba Wax, Polysorbate 80″Amazon promises to deliver exactly what is shown on product description but that’s not the case. The images and packaging is also different. They did not refund even after multiple attempts and chat with customer service. Disappointed

Misguiding Product label.
What company wants to show after writing 1000 mg on the product label. When I was searching for the medicine, I thought its 1000 mg per tablet but it is not, it is just 250 mg per tablet. Simply misguiding the people and doing business. I too can make a product of 2000 mg with serving size of 8 tablets….. (will write secretly in small word behind the bottle). Highly disappointed 🙁

Great Calcium Supplement
I’m not a huge GNC vitamin fan, but after reading the reviews and comparing prices, I decided to give them a shot for my calcium needs. I was very pleased. I just used up 200 calcium pills and my nails were splitting and weak. I said enough is enough, I need a good calcium supplement. I tried this one and I’m hooked. I only take 1/2 of what it calls for and I noticed a drastic improvement in my nails the first week (that’s the only way I can tell if calcium is working for me). I’ll continue using GNC calcium citrate…the proof is in the nails.

Definitely worth it
I really like this powder. It dissolves well in a shaker bottle, doesn’t feel like I’m drinking chalkwater, and gives me the protein I need to recover from my workouts. The flavor is a little watery, but it tastes better than a lot of brands.

Good product.
I am a vegetarian. Before I take this calcium citrate, I need to buy pizza on a weekly basis to get calcium which the body needs. After I take this supplement, I don’t have to eat pizza anymore and I can stay as a vegan. I tried some other calcium supplements before, but could not take them on a daily basis. Somehow I can keep taking these. I cannot judge other calcium supplements, but this is the one that I am taking now and it does provide calcium that the body needs.

Lowest for the carbs/sugars/calories per grams of protein out there. Tastes good. A little pricey via retail but through Amazon it’s a buck ($1.00) a serving. Seems more effective than whey proteins(?).

GNC Calcium Citrate 1000MG
What I didn’t see anywhere on the product add was in order to get 1000 mg worth of Calcium you need to take 4 250 mg pills. I purchased these for my mother, because her oncologist said she needs to take 1000 mg of calcium a day. With the amount of pills she has to take each day, she isn’t happy having to take 4 additional pills. I am not at all happy that the product description didn’t mention that each pill is only 250 mg. I feel like i wasted money on this product due to misleading labeling and product description.

The flavor is good, but there were still chunks after multiple attempts at blending it together. It wasn’t pleasant to drink with the chunks and feels as though I may have just purchased something I may not be able to use due to not mixing well.

Used to reverse osteoporosis
I have used this brand for at least 4 years. I take one tab four times daily because of osteoporosis and actually increased my bone density in the first year based on a followup bone density scan. This product is a much safer and more effective product then the prescription product that was recommended to me at the time. I do need to take magnesium with it to prevent constipation.

No upset stomach
As someone who has osteoporosis and is taking hormone blocking therapy, taking a calcium supplement is not optional. GNC Calcium Citrate 1000 mg is the first I’ve tried that no only was highly rated by consumerlabs.com, it’s the first that hasn’t made me nauseous.

Don’t take these without knowing your levels!
I only take two of these a day and not 4 that are suggested. My calcium levels have been in the higher end of the normal range so that is why. I’m supplementing temporarily cause I got injured. Make sure you know or get your levels checked with your blood test before starting any of these! You could make something worse or cause another problem!

I love that I only have to take one else let day. Leading brand requires that you take 2 doses per day. Calcium Citrate lasts twice as long and costs less it’s a win win.

READ THE FINE PRINT – need to take FOUR per day to get 1000mg
The main picture of the front of the bottle shows 1000mg, but only the fine print in the secondary picture informs you that the large tablets are 250mg apiece, so you need to take four of these whoppers per day to get 1000mg. That’s not evident from the product information text description, either. Once you figure that out, you’ll also figure out that there are more economical options to get your Calcium Citrate.
